AmstelHome: what do users think?

Lo Majorna: Staff working here seems very suspicious of guests and are rude. Had staff knocking on our door about a “smell of weed” twice, which is ridiculous considering it’s a student home in Amsterdam and it’s the first few weeks of uni. The student discounts are very minimal and feel like they’re put in place just to maintain a student discount and come off as student friendly. The sound the doorbell is also the most annoying I have yet to encounter. Nonetheless, it’s a very cozy place and the rent is good considering you get a private kitchen. You also get a decent resemblance of a balcony, which definitively comes in handy when you want to avoid the smell of weed.
Response: Dear Lo, thank you very much for your feedback. Smoking inside of the apartments is prohibited. We would like to get in contact with you. Unfortunately we can not find you in our system. Please contact us.

Marios Georgiou: I have lived there for 4 years. Very bad experience with moving out. They care only for profit and they do anything they can to take the money from the deposit. I am very disappointed. Also, the customer service support from the student experience office sucks.

John Mitromaras: Great place, great people, greate facilities. Has a basket court on the roof and an awesome view. A pool and a football table, laundry rooms, study rooms, living room and a big fully equipped kitchen, where you can cook and gather with your friends, are all on your disposal. And if you are bored cooking by yourself just grab one of its tasty meals.

S V: the rent is at markeg rate buy they use all types of rules to squeeze the maximum amount of money from you. also dirty hallways

Gregor Samsa: Superficial atmosphere, nothing in this place feels real. From the inside garden with plastic grass, to the loud annoying charts music, the super expensive food and the suspicious staff, everything feels fake.

Andrea F: Very rude staff, there is no respect and trust towards the students who live there. Lived there for one year as per contract, but would have loved to stay shorter.
Response: Dear Fo, we are sorry to hear this. We would like to hear your experience in a personal message, because we can’t find your anonymous name in the system. So we can prevent this experience in the future.

Rosanna Hermes: great rooms and garden; very clean & safe. unfortunately very expensive and the immediate surrounding is quite grey and not very homely
Response: Dear Rosanna, thank you for your great and honest review! Did you know the Amstel park is just around the corner of AmstelHome? Lovely, green environment to relax.

Sandra Wiendels: Very nice upgrades in the lobby and looks much cleaner. Well done.

Jayme B: Good student accommodation in Amsterdam, probably of the best places in terms of price, location etc
Response: Dear Jayme, thank you for your positive review!

ANTONIO MARTINS: Great

HiCondo affordable independent student housing: what do users think?

Barbara Aglago: Less than a minute walk from the Bullewijk metro station and less than 10 minutes walk to the Bijlmer Arena station. Ideal for students.

Emmy Berra: As our daughter will start a degree at VU in Amsterdam soon, we have been submerged in the search for rooms / studios for the last couple of months. As everybody knows it is certainly not easy to find a place. We have been subscribed to various places that provide rental studios for students in Amsterdam and have found that Hicondo really stood out in a positive way. It was very easy to get in contact with them and they are exceptionally friendly while at the same time providing you with all the information they have available to them. I highly recommend Hicondo to help you find a place in Amsterdam.
Response: Dear Berra family, We really appreciate your kind review and would like to thank you for the nice comment you have left. Fortunately, we were able to offer your daughter a place in these busy times, which unfortunately we do not succeed with every registration and sometimes have to disappoint people in busy times like now. We would also like to inform you that it is also very nice to have another very enthusiastic and friendly resident like your daughter in Hicondo. Sincerely, Hicondo team

Isabela Mendoza: I paid for the subscription so that I could apply to studios and they never gave me my account so my money just got lost since no one replied to me about the problem. I would not recommend searching with them.
Response: Dear Isabela, I see that you have not completed your file in the portal after registration. As a result, it is never your turn because we do not have a complete file. Hope to have informed you sufficiently. Hicondo team

metta rahmadiana: “A home away from home”. Everything a student would ever need. A quiet student condo to study equipped with a private kitchen and bathroom which are essential. Amicable and respectful neighbors. Many international opportunities (friendship and networking) from tenants (friends)from various countries. Facilities include 24-hour laundry mat, vending machines, bike storage, and a cozy common area with comfortable sofa on every floor. Regularly cleaned and tidy hallways by the housekeeping staff. Nice, communicative, friendly manager who is always available when needed. Supporting (maintenance) staff for quick and professional services. Good and polite front office staff. The student condo is easily accessible. Just 3-minute walk from the nearest metro station and a 10-minute walk to local groceries, retail and dining. I definitely think this review will help you make the right choice.

Radu-Mihai Panescu: "People who register with HiCondo acquire a home within 1 month on average."This is a quote from their website. I guess I'm unlucky since I've been registered for about 6 months now.

Daria Statkevich: I was lucky to find HiCondo before starting my master's. It's been my third student housing in Amsterdam, but the best one. I really like my room. When I moved in, it's been already cleaned and refreshed with newly painted walls. For location I will put 3,8 out of 5. For me it's been very convenient though. The metro is just 1 min walk (even less) from the building and it goes straight to my university which takes only 15 min. With the bike I spent around 30-35 min. It's just 5 min biking to Bijlmer Arena square with Albert Heijn, Lidl and all other different cafes and stores. Price is reasonable. If you are living in HiCondo, you are eligible to receive a housing allowance. It gives you back around 40% from the price you pay for the room. During my stay in HiCondo, it helped me a lot. People who work in HiCondo are friendly and helpful. Also the building is cleaned properly all the time. I would definitely recommend checking out HiCondo if you are in a search for affordable, comfortable and cozy student housing.

Xingrong Qiao: If you want to pay 25euro for nothing please register here
Response: Dear Xingrong Qiao, At the moment we do not recommend anyone to register. The 355 homes we have are already occupied and we have dozens of applications every day. You registered 3 weeks ago according to our system. And unfortunately you expect it to be your turn within 3 weeks, which is an extreme expectation in the Amsterdam housing market, especially in the month of August. Hope to have informed you sufficiently and request you to wait your turn. We hope to be able to help you with one of our studios soon. Sincerely, Hicondo team

Ivan: Oplichters. Scam, don't get a room here as they are threatening you to not speak about what's happening there. Terrible place and should be closed down!!
Response: Dear Meijer, Could you please be more specific? We would like to solve the problem you are dealing with! However, your name is unknown for us and we couldn't find any connection / relation in our system. As a result, we logically can not contain your response. This way we can't solve the problem and ofcourse prevent the issue for in the future. Regards, Hicondo

M Saravia (msaravia): Good building, nice neighbours, next to a subway station. The entrance isn't obvious however.

Sara Nachtergaele: Convicted scammer. Not a good owner, always trying to find ways to get more money. Would not trust.

Student Experience Amsterdam Minervahaven: what do users think?

Eleni Nouni: Good facilities. The fire alarm keeps on going off, even at midnight! The wifi is also bad and stops working every time. The “free bikes” that were promised are also not available.
Response: HI Eleni, we understand that this must be frustrating. You can always contact your duty manager if you have any questions. We hope you will have a great time with us this year!

Dayna Nichols: This building is beautiful and looks just like the images, however after living here there are a few frustrating things here. There are only 6 laundry machines for 600 rooms, the back door is often broken, you can hear people loud in the halls and sometimes above your room, the lounge is missing pool equipment. It’s nice but there are some things about living here you will dislike.

Caterina Vagnozzi: The building is gorgeous and super new. The rooms are beautiful. The only flaw is the management that maybe is still in its infancy. For a while the internet connection was bad, and working from home is a big problem. I would advise the managers to buy more vacuum cleaners, at least one per floor. One vacuum cleaner for the whole building is not enough. Good point is the bus stop under the dorm that takes you to Amsterdam Ceentral.

Omar Aghalarli: Good place, clean and generally suitable for students. Nonetheless the are only 6 washing machines for over 600 students living there.
Response: Thankyou for your review Omar!

Mihnea Florescu: I have lived here for almost 8 months and I have to say that I was pleasantly impressed by my accomodation. The studios are very beautifully decorated and come with all the necessary furniture pieces. The lobby and common areas are vibrant and the whole atmosphere is a pleasant one. Even though there were some small problems such as the ocasional random fire alarms (this was a problem in the beginning, now it very rarely happens to hear an alarm), the management team does its best to help everyone. It has been an amazing stay and I am sad that I have to move in a very short time…
Response: Hi Mihnea, Thank you for your review. We're glad your stay at Student Experience Minervahaven was pleasant. Also, thank you for the compliments on the studio and common areas! Luckily, all students use their extractor hood now when cooking ;) ^Team Student Experience

hell racer: The building is like a box so some people live facing the garden and never saying daylight when in their room.
Response: All rooms have curtains! Just open the curtains and welcome the daylight in your room :)

Pilar Martinez: STUDENT EXPERIENCE = WORST MANAGEMENT. Rooms are not at all like in pictures. Try to charge you from everything. Very bad customer assistance, the person picking up the phone is rude and not helpful at all. It doesn't help when you are a foreigner in desperate needed of a place to stay. PLEASE NOT RENT THIS PLACE.
Response: Hi Pilar! Thank you for your review. We can understand that it's hard to find a place to stay these days since many students are looking for a new home before the start of the new study year. We can't find you in our system as a resident, so we would love to invite you to your preferred location to come and check out the facilities and a studio so you can see that it's even prettier than in the pictures! You can contact communications@studentexperience.nl so we can set up a date and time :) ^ Team Student Experience

M. X: Good: Nice building with good amenities. Other residents are friendly students from all over the world. Bad: It's pricey, if you're paying this much you can probably afford to pay a little more for a better place. Fire alarms go off every other day, sometimes daily and at all hours of the day and night so nobody ever leaves the building when it happens (good luck if it's ever a real fire). Rats have been spotted. Some of the receptionists are super rude. Wifi doesn't work half the time. Post can only be collected from reception between 9am and 5pm on weekdays, so screw you if you have university classes or work - you'll just have to wait until Saturday/Sunday evening to be allowed to pick up your stuff. Fair play to them the marketing does a great job of selling the place but avoid unless you're desperate imo.

M C: Won't give me access to my mail, bikes don't work, awful service, reception is NOT 24 hours, fire alarm goes off three times a week, six laundry machines and four dryers for the entire building. Don't waste your money, this building will only frustrate you.

Alex Costea: false positive fire alarm are extremely common (more than once per week) and can go on for hours. it can even happen at 2am. it makes the place practically unlivable. i highly don't recommend. not to mention it being completely useless in case of a real fire

Student Experience Amsterdam NDSM: what do users think?

Carolina Soares: Lived here from September 2021 until June 2022. Really nice building with all the stuff you might need: study room, laundry room, tv’s for movie nights, rooftop with a basketball camp. The area around it is starting to pick up a bit more and more stuff is coming to the NDSM. Safe during the day since there’s always people coming and going. At night, past the regular 8/9PM hours, it can get a little bit sketchy and there’s not much light around. Overall, never had an issue in all the months I lived there.
Response: Hi Carolina, Thank you so much for your review, and we are happy to read you had a great time living at Student Experience!

amira Mahmoud: I wanted to talk about this place but I need pages, the most important thing is that is a very safe place for students, they think about everything to make the stay safe , comfortable, enjoyable, and like home, everything u need is there inside and out around the corner ( hema, Albert heijn, dentist, the bus station 3 min walk, the ferry 5 min, restaurants, bakeries, pharmacy......) The roof is very nice where u can study, eat , stay in the sun, there's a basketball 2......, Everything is perfect, and the people there are nice and helpful
Response: Thankyou for your 5 star rating Amira!

Wilm: Nice concept!
