Ronda Carman: Where to begin. From the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, it is spectacular. Truly a dining experience. Best yet, it feeds all of the senses. The food looks wonderful, smells wonderful, and taste wonderful. It’s hard to believe you get so much flavor from a tiny work of art. Not to mention the wait staff were great and accommodating.

M: A modern cuisine featuring restaurant that is embedded with history in Amsterdam. Order: 8 course meal with wine pairing (I forgot to take the pic of the sweetbread) Silver and gold spiegel Michelin special. Location: Heart of Amsterdam, close to central station and basically everywhere in the city. Beautiful restaurant and the patio dining was fabulous. 5/5 Service: Our server was charming and delightful.. impeccable service. He put up with my state of progressive inebriation with every passing course and wine pairing. In my defense, I had been drinking before the restaurant. 5/5 Value: high end restaurant. Not cheap. Expensive relatively for many restaurants . However, the quality of the presentation and ingrdients and service makes it fair for value..the discounted special price made it a steal. 5/5. Still 200 euros per person. Keep that in mind. Taste: the chef is very talented. He managed to create culinary masterpieces. The wine pairings were thoughtful as they complemented the dishes very well. 5/5 Highlights of the night included the rib eye of beef very rich and flavourful, langoustine (which was cooked to perfection) and the first dessert. The milk and honey dish. Ice cream and honey crisps with an almond cake. It was light yet sweet. I enjoyed the coolness of the ice cream to balance out the heaviness of the previous course (rib eye). However, the best dish for me was the mussels. It was the star of the show. Perfect dish, flawless execution. One of the best dishes I ever had. Overall: outstanding meal. I have no complaints of this restaurant. A brilliant meal with some of my best friends whom I consider to be as close as family made the remarkable meal even more memorable. 5/5

Paul de Bruin: Easily rivalling Michelin star restaurants. Fantastic service, beautiful and very tasty dishes and an ambiance unique. They show that Amsterdam and Dutch cuisine exist and it is wonderful. Will certainly come back. My new favourite restaurant.

alba gonzalez: Amazing 5 courses surprise menu for 59€, corvina and lamb was incredibly tasty and textures is something to highlight. Staff was welcoming and nice

Rain Hair: Cozy restaurant, friendly and attentive service. The 5 course surprise menu, had two fish as starter, a delicious vegetarian dish (beetroot), rib eye steak in two variations and an amazing dessert. On top quite a number of amuse gueule are added in between. For 65EUR this is a nice experience. Portions are on the smaller side, but it add up... . We chose the matching wines and got 5 glasses of very nice wines perfectly matching the food for 5 countries, 9EUR a glass. When you know some of the wines or check out the ones on the wine list, I personally find a 4 to 5 fold mark up a bit pricy.... but that`s just a side note. All in all we had a perfect evening in a beautiful setting, with very good service and we will come again. This restaurant is on the edge of getting a one star, if they get a bit more courageous and experimental with their cooking. I wish them good luck!

Amit Elazari: Took the seven (!) course dinner. A four hours gourmet experience. It was entertaining and pleasant, the service was good and welcoming. However, an afternoon on hot August Amsterdam with no air-conditioning or an option to open a window (or a wall!) is a challenging experience...

Keira Lim: Wonderful, French restaurant with an intimate atmosphere and delicate tasting menu. I loved every amuse bouche and leisurely course along with the thoughtful wine pairings. So many unique flavors and sauces excited my palate! We lingered over dinner for 2.5 hours and enjoyed attentive service in the dining room with dark, moody murals that gave me the sense of stepping into a Vermeer still life. I look forward to returning.

Renée: Celebrating your birthday by yourself for some reason usually sucks but I really happy that I had a great evening at senses. Specifically there were a really good looking young lady & young man who would greet you with a comforting smile n take care of everything. I chose the seven course one and it was absolutely delicious. They would consider your allergies, preferences even occasions. They even prepared a little surprise before I go which I totally didn’t expect at all but really they literally made my day! Will definitely come back one day for its nice service, recommended!

Reshma Ramachandran: I took my sister and her husband here as a treat for the wedding anniversary. We had the 5 course meal. It was a wonderful experience! Every plate was inventive, fresh and delicious! I especially was fascinated by the matcha dessert, coz I m not usually a fan. They also gave us a complimentary dessert as an anniversary special. The service was great too!

Jasmijn T: Went here for high tea with two friends and we had a lovely time. The service was great. It felt very personal and with a lot of attention to detail. The Duchess is a beautiful place to be. The tea was nice, and we got an explanation for all the bites and paired with the right teas. The cotton candy on a cotton branch was a nice presentation. I would recommend you to go here for high tea. Don’t eat anything in advance because you will be very full from this!

Yorick Heidema: 100% can recommend. Food is great and decently priced. Drinks are a bit more expensive, but still worth it for the experience. Went here with my girlfriend who’s a vegetarian to celebrate my salary increase, and we now know why it’s (justifiably ) in the Michelin guide

James Pendergrass: Michelin star restaurant with clubby vibe and pretty good food. Just hated the getting in part. As a guest at the hotel, I had zero idea I’d have such a hard time eating there. Also turned off by the $100 corkage fee. All in all, very good, doubt it will get a repeat though.

Sindy Duong: The afternoon tea had to be booked in advance. Each course, you get a different pot of tea. We started with green tea, following with rooibos. The savory course was delicious, especially the goat cheese and honey sandwich. The sweet course was good too, although sometimes very overpowering in taste. Servers were really nice and there was live music playing. It was an lovely experience.

Ivan Markov: Not a fan of the “we serve when it’s ready” concept. Me and my girlfriend ordered chicken for her and beef wellington for myself, as she does not eat bloody meat, and they split it into different courses. Had to wait for her to finish so I could get my main. The waiter wasn’t very clear when explaining that. Service felt rushed and the Wellington wasn’t well cooked. The starters and desserts on the other hand were very good. The interior and ambiance were also a strong point of the restaurant. Overall, it was just OK. Definitely been to better Michelin-started establishments in other cities in Europe.

dror abramson: Amazing service and great wine, the zuccini salad was lacking a little bit of flavour but the mashroom risoto definatly made up for it. It was incredible. The creme brule was also amazing. The prices are also not bad too for a fancy restaurant

Dragana Radisic: Fine dining. The concept is you order together, you share dishes as they come. Service is really nice , we had a super nice host/waiter Atila- he was perfect - kind, polite , funny & on the spot. This is Michelin 1 star ⭐️ restaurant, expect to spend 100-200 per person. Starters are from 15-35eur, main dishes from 25-50eur, ah and desert you need to try choco dream or ice cream (that they make in front of you).. nice wine lists from 50-350 eur.. we enjoyed a lot. Amjaad Ageel: Great service we found a booking on the same day. The Beef Wellington wasn’t a good option for me as it tastes plain and raw.. I already got bored eating it and it’s very heavy. I also hate medium cooked meat as I didn’t have an option to change that.. Sea bass Carpaccio & Baked scallop with mushrooms tasted really good 👍
