Louise: Did an industrial piercing at this piercing/tattoo shop and it was a good and comforting experience. The piercer knew what she was doing and talked the whole way through :) which was very nice since it is my first cartilage piercing. The place was desinfected (like I suspected since they are GGD verified) and looked clean.

Matilda Lsm: I went to get my nose jewellery changed and the piercer basically forced the stud into my nose, making no effort to find the original end of the hole. So - she pierced a second hole (without telling me) and didn’t even wipe away the blood. The process of merely getting my jewellery changed hurt more than getting my nose pierced. If you want professional service and people who care and will give you the time of day - this is not the place.

Andrea Marino: I came to this shop the other day to get my piercing changed, the manager with green hair was very helpful and welcoming and she changed my jewelry herself. The shop itself is very tidy and nice and the international staff members were all fun!

Taylor Lax: Forgot the receptionists name unfortunately but she is one of the sweetest people every. She helped switch out my jewelry super quick and explained to me my issues I was having with one of them and how to help it out. Ricky also did some art on my fiancé which was done in record timing and looks great.

The jewelry they used is too short for me and it started to sink into my skin. I’m not in the city anymore so I have to look for another studio to change it. I asked if the jewelry is the right size because it looked small to me but they laughed it off and said of course.

Sanninha Sotto l’Ombra di un Bel Fior: Short version: VERY good experience getting a conch piercing by Francesca. Will definitely go back for the rest of my ear piercing project :)! The other staff person (host?) was very friendly as well and made me feel welcome. Would recommend this shop to friends and family. Long version: I’d been wanting to get an industrial piercing for a while and last afternoon I decided to check out if it was even possible and if so, if I could get it right away or at least make an appointment. I knew there was a chance that the piercing wouldn’t be possible because of the anatomy of my ear. Before I went to Body Cult I went to a different shop up the street. The person there seemed distracted and even annoyed that I came in with a question. He walked away two times when I was in the middle of a sentence to talk to his colleague. He told me that the piercing would be possible, but only just. He said that he/they would do it, but that not everyone could. Do you know the feeling of an alarm that starts flashing red in the back of your mind and gets louder and louder by the second? Yeah, that’s what happened to me right there. I understand that not every piercer is comfortable doing every piercing, but the overall situation made me uncomfortable and I decided to get a second opinion. At body cult I met Francesca and after a quick ear inspection she firmly told me it is not possible to do the industrial my ears. She clearly explained why and was ready to let me walk out of the shop without making any money. Love her for that attitude! I would have had her do it right away if she’d said yes, but she really would not do it. Although I did not like her answer I knew that I’d probably regret it afterwards because of {insert whatever problem with incorrectly placed piercings}). Really Francesca, thank you for your integrity! I asked her if she wanted to do a conch piercing instead, since that one would have been the next project after the industrial anyway, and she was happy to do it. She was friendly, took her time to answer questions and explain things, just very professional. The piercing has been in for about 9 hours now and my ear is not red/warm anymore at all. When untouched I don’t even feel it. Of course when I do touch it (trying my very very best not to but sometimes it just happens..) it’s still very sensitive, but no itching or aching what so ever. Something I did experience with most of my other piercings. I’m very happy with the piercing and the overall experience and I’d like to thank Francesca in particular for her time, integrity and work. Anabelle Cruel: Piercer did a very bad job with the piercing, it was uneven/tilted. When i noticed and came back after a few days she didn’t admit that she made a mistake and didn’t apologize. When I suggested a refund she laughed in my face. Would not recommend.

Evelin Hutton: The staff had an unpleasant attitude unfortunately. Went in for a septum replacement and the ball fell out a few seconds after I left the shop, after which it got replaced with an uneven one so had to go in three times.

Farrah Haythum: Racist staff, the girl literally asked me where I was from the moment I entered the store, then proceeded to be dismissive and condescending to a point where neither me or my friends could believe it! While her English wasn’t quite that good, one of the things she said was “this is not an earring shop, it’s a piercings shop, you will not find what you need, maybe I need to speak slower so you’d understand”! (she hadn’t even asked what I was looking for, only where am from, and I understood her perfectly, there was no need for the passive aggression + I have more that 15 visible piercings on my body that I was looking to get Jewlery for, which is what “piercing shops” are for I suppose?!) While Amsterdam is a beautiful, peaceful, and accommodating city, this was my only unsettling encounter.
