Roy vd berg: Very crowded store, and even still could not find an adequate solution for what I was looking for, staff was fine but not actively trying to help. Felt lost and i was not pleased with the experience.
Response: Hi Roy, what a pity you had a bad experience. What kind of light fixture where you looking for and what was the solution needed? You are right that we give people the time and space to decide what style is there preference. We are doing this for more that 83 years. The 5th generation was indeed not actively selling, we prefer synergy , a light fixture makes or brakes the house/room/garden/hallway etc etc . We are a high end store with lee sell design with the best light sources on the market. I propose you come back another time and that I'll help you personally. plictho: An Italian lamp I bought from Hazewindus in 2011 was recently damaged during a house removal, so I asked them if it was possible to send it back to the mother company for repairs. It took a few months, but the backup from Hazewindus was outstanding and patient throughout and I was charged only for the renewed parts. This is what real service is all about.

Jeshaja HAZEWINDUS: Delightful place to be, nice staff and prices are good. The staff also helped me to assemble the laps I purchased outside. I was helped quickly. I received and completely different level of service than I expected, the woman who helped me aided me to refine my insight and taste towards a purchase that I will own for every day to come... They really have an "oog voor licht".

Ilari Hoevenaars: Mediocre service with regard to the repair of my floor lamp, which I had bought years ago from Hazewindus. After being in the store three times and after an extensive e-mail, on which I heard nothing, I went to another store that helped me customer-oriented and quickly at a reasonable price. In an email Hazewindus seemed to be lecturing me instead of acknowledging that I could have been helped better. Too bad.
Response: We have stopped repairs, it is usual for the city app brand to take over, but the brand you came with doesn't want to hear about it anymore. That is why we have also stopped with the supplier and therefore no longer have the parts in-house. We are looking for a workshop that can do this kind of 'small' repair on order. Natascha Löhr: Nice lamps no nice service. A delivery time of 2-3 weeks with a decent down payment was agreed. When there was still no lamp in sight after 3 weeks, there was no motivation to give more precise information about the delivery time. Then there was no information for 4 weeks and finally after 7 weeks I got a short call saying I could pick up the lamp now.
Response: Dear Mrs Lörh, I can assure you we are always motivated to provide a quick delivery, however we are not the producer. When you purchase the fixture, we order it immediately, however , lots of brands that we work with have handmade lamps that sometimes take a bit longer that planned. after the extra 4 weeks waiting time I hope you are still enjoying your lamp and the waiting time is forgotten. Kelai Diebel: I tried a few other lights shops in Amsterdam and this is the best by far! I was met with friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a great selection of light fixtures to see in the showroom.

Ab Cd: Super happy with the Holtkötter Xena. The lamp can be adjusted in height and the 2 lamps can be used and dimmed separately from each other.

After quite a few months I ended up here, and I finally found the lamp that I had in my head. Service was very good and after explaining my idea, the seller immediately knew what I was looking for. Jaap Linnebank: Excellent and fast help. Real old fashioned Amsterdam service. I only had to replace the lamp but thought it was a blown fuse. Shaking my head at so much ignorance on the part of the customer, I was taught the lesson that I will certainly remember in the future.
