J Pro: Bakery and cafe. Their croissants are delicious. Coffee was good too. Seating inside and outside. The whole place smelled of freshly baked pastries. It was lovely to sit down, enjoy the refreshments and observe the buzz…

Paul van den Berg: A real nice authentic Bakery with seating and a terrace. They offer quite a nice lunch menu with lots of options including a lot of homemade pastries and cakes. Of course also bread for home, even your flour to do it yourself at home.

Ivy Antunes: The croissants were sooo good! Got one with jam and one with lemon curd, both were delicious spreads. Also got a tumeric oat latte, very tasty. The building has a cool layout as well. Highly recommend!

Andrew Williamson: Lovely place, with superb coffee and wonderful baked goods. The cheese and olive croissant swirls are next level. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and great staff too

Ai Avondstondt: not only are the pastries here delicious, the people working are all super nice too!! if you come here and they have it, you should totally try the bread pudding, it’s amazing :)

J G: Very nice bakery with seating inside and out, excellent coffee and beautiful baked goods

Bilge Okumus: We did sourdough bread workshop as a team building activity in Baking Lab. We were super happy and had great time. Place has a really cosy vibe to start with. During the workshop, we learned the science behind baking, witnessed different steps of bread making, had great conversations about circular baking and even baked our own pizza for dinner. Our instructors Ferdinand and Alice were super friendly and nice, made us feel at home whole evening. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a team activity or nice evening with your friends.

Enrique Velasco: Excellent service and concept for team building or simply getting together with friends. The results of the recipes are amazing and the atmosphere is quite cozy. Highly recommended. For more experiences like this follow @quiquinnv

Pablo Musumeci: Our team had an amazing time with our teacher Jasmin. She helped us preparing ravioli with ricotta which turned out being much tastier than what I expected! Definitely recommended for companies that want their teams to have some fun and share a truly Italian moment together. Special note for Jasmin who was really energetic and became a big reason for our time being so fantastic!

Chloe Shoobridge: Wow wow wow is all I can say! Attended the Pasta and Gnocchi making course last night, it was absolutely amazing! I couldn’t have asked for a better evening, from the food to the company, it was fantastic! Nicolleta is a wonderful host and took the time to explain everything, moving from table to table making sure we were all okay. I’ve come home with a full belly and a new passion for pasta making!

Mark Vijftigschild: Great atmosphere, great food and lots to learn. A fantastic way to spend an evening with friends or your team. Highly recommended !

Aubrey Almanza: Such a lovely way to spend the day. Highly recommend as a gift or date. Made some great new culinary skills and will be back for another workshop soon!

Francesco Cavaliere: The best place in Amsterdam to learn how to cook and eat "real" Italian food from a really nice italian girl, highly recommended to Locals and visitors.

Jill: La Dolce Vita! This cooking workshop has it all, it is a complete Italian experience. I enjoyed creating together, eating together and drinking together. And Nicoletta, a real Italian who is very authentic and sincere, a wonderful person!

Amsterdam Cooking Workshops: what do users think?

Fall Thiam: I booked an Indonesian cooking workshop for my team with David and so far it was the best we ever did! David is very knowledgeable about the type of cuisine he teaches, and takes the right amount of time explaining everything in a very entertaining and interactive way. We all had a lot of fun in a cozy setting and the food ended amazing, highly recommend it!

Ilca Zween: David did an amazing job in educating our American student group on Indonesian culture & cuisine as well as providing the context of the Dutch-Indonesian history. Above all, he made the cooking class fun! We all had an amazing time and ate some fantastic food.

Ewan Mackie: We planned a team outing to take part in an Indonesian cooking class after finding David’s page and we were already enthusiastic before the actual event. The location was incredibly easy to get to, only 6 stops on the tram from Centraal Station and was very cosy indeed. The welcome by David was very warm and after some drinks, we were treated to an explanation about how David came to this concept, what we would be making and guiding us through some of the ingredients (some fresh smelling, some foul - the shrimp paste - but all helpful in making delicious food). The knowledge that David possesses about Indonesian cooking is substantial and how explains this makes what can appear to be a daunting task (so many ingredients) one which can be done with ease, with love and with fun. When you get into your groups (for us, it was 6 groups of 3), you are given your tasks but are you left alone? Absolutely not, because David keeps a good eye on everything - making sure that you are putting the right ingredients together, the right amounts, the cooking times and helping where needed. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, were incredibly impressed by David as a host and his story. And of course, the food was delicious. We left well-fed, more knowing of Indonesian food and delighted that we chose Amsterdam Cooking Workshops for our team event. We’re looking forward to the next one! Great work David, and thank you for hosting us!

Meida W: I got this workshop vouchers as the farewell gift from my previous colleagues. Me and my friend enjoyed the workshop very much. Due to corona rules, we had a "personal" workshop (only me, my friend and David/the chef-coach) at his place. The workshop and instruction was relaxing and easy to be followed in a very friendly and cozy environment. We also learnt some tips and tricks during the workshop. After the cooking, we sat together and ate the dishes. Very delicious !!!. Happy tummy :D. I directly showed the pictures to my ex colleagues and recommended this workshop back to them :)

Anneclaire Koek: We loved the Thai cooking workshop! It was really inspirational and nice to learn about the ingredients. We loved the fresh ingredients and it made us feel like we were in Thailand again. We will definitely come back for the Indonesian cooking workshop! Highly recommend!

Marlene Hinterleitner: The way David hosted this cooking class was really impressive. Everything was very well organized, instructions were super clear and you could learn a lot while enjoying the relaxed and "gezellig" atmosphere. :) In the intro he shared more about his background and how he learned to cook Thai himself, which made it authentic and personal. We really enjoyed the fantastic food and are looking forward to the next cooking class with David. Thanks for the great evening!

Craft Coffee & Pastry Amsterdam: what do users think?

Martine Leclerc: Amazing and well priced pastries! It‘s not easy to find gluten free pastries in Amsterdam and these are delicious. They mostly have sweet and savory croissants, but everything else they have to offer looks great too. Only downside is that there are no labels to describe the pastries.

Val: Croissant was delicious, that little tart was something incredible and the choc chip cookie was great! Lovely little bakery in a quiet and cute area, my bf got a latte as well which was one of the best he had (he said). Definitely worth going if you love pastries and gluten intolerant. Staff was lovely as well :)

Sabine Wiesinger: The best croissant in a 10year celiac life! Awesome and I absolutely recommend it! The pistachios cake was also very tasty! Only the waiting time at 12am was shocking, because of such a long queue. So we came 2hours later again and then the choice was not big, but okay. So maybe you should accept the waiting time, the products are worth it!

Monica Martino: This is the best gluten free bakery you can find in Amsterdam, and THE best I have ever tried. Being a gluten intolerant this is paradise! I love the ham and cheese croissant. The staff is friendly and the there is a wide variety of pastry. I cannot reccomend this place enough. The food is so good that also those without special food requiremnt will love it.

Yoram Cohen: Gluten free. We tried the French croissant, almond croissant and brioche Pistachio. It was really great, very close to the wheat.Great one. Very nice and accommodating team.

Siim M: Everything gluten free. Hard to choose, what to eat. Best brioche 🥐 I’ve ever eaten! Gluten free or not. Try the one with cheese 🧀 & ham and the one with chocolate 🍫, you will not regret it! ;)

Chiara Corbella: Best gluten free croissant I’ve ever had, perfect texture and very yummy filling. Great variety of products and staff is super nice 🌟 recommend 100% Gluten free oat milk is also available!! Will go back soon!

Aris Schellinkhout: During our visit to Amsterdam my celiac girlfriend demanded we got a croissant here. She actually had tears in her eyes when she took her first bite. According to her it’s the best croissant she’s had in 15 years so I cannot give enough praise to the bakers. The personnel takes time and care for each customer, they’re very open and welcoming. There was a small queue when the store opened and I assume there’s a longer one during the afternoon. But in my opinion it’s worth every second. If you know a celiac, bring them here, it’ll make their year.

Jade B: Best gluten free pastries I have had by a LONG shot. Gave my husband some and he said they’re better than his normal croissants! Going to be dreaming of the ham & cheese croissant tonight 🤤
