Our Injera, Ethiopia's national dish, is baked from a fermented mix of teff, a gluten free Ethiopian grain, mixed with millet, atta (wholemeal wheat), corn flour and yeast. A variety of meat, fish and vegetables stews and sauces are placed upon the round injera for serving. The injera underneath soaks up the juices and flavors of the sauces and is also consumed. The traditional Ethiopian Orthodox fasting period lasts 208 days a year, during which believers abstain from eating animal based products. Because of this tradition, Ethiopian cusine has a wide variety of vegan dishes. Gluten free injera can be ordered in advance, as teff flour requires about 5 days to be prepared and allowed to yeast properly.

All of the dishes below come from various regions of Africa. All of these dishes are served with rice or couscous and a variety of vegetables. All our dishes are prepared fresh daily on site, so it is recommended to ask for the preparation time if you are in a hurry. All of the dishes below can also be ordered spicy or extra spicy.

The national dish of Senegal. Fish and five types of vegetables are simmered in a boldly flavored sauce with tomato, tamarind, bay leaves, parsley, onions and garlic. The sauce is then used to pan fry the rice with which it is served (Jollof rice)

Prepared in the traditional Moroccan earthenware pot with North African spices, fresh coriander and a choice of Lamb, Chicken or Fish. Served with couscous

The origin of the word "coffee" is derived from the Ethiopian Kaffa province, the birthplace of coffee where one can still find the original kaffa trees. The legendary Ethiopian goatherd Kaldi discovered the coffee plant through the behavior of his dancing goats. Our Ethiopian coffeeis traditionally roasted, brewed and poured for you and served with popcorn.

Came here for dinner based on a recommendation from a local and the food did not disappoint. everything we had was absolutely amazing and this was easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We recommend the fish tajine and the prawns in peri peri sauce. It does take a bit for the food to come out but it literally makes note of that in the menu and it’s so worth it in the end.

What a meal. Do NOT miss. From the host to the Ethiopian cloth on the tables, from the wooden napkin holders to the insane food. The host was incredible (so warm, friendly, accommodating), her mother is the chef and you really do get a taste explosion! The injeraa was made to perfection- we ordered the mix injera which meant we got to try all of the wonderful dishes - each with their own unique flavours. We said it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had!
