Ronald van der Wal: Sindbad has moved from the Dapperstraat to Sloterdijk. We have been going to Sindbad for shisha for years and have been warmly welcomed all this time. The shisha is really very good quality. And now they have a nice big space.

Tania Jackson: My family of three came up on this restaurant during a Google search for Mediterranean Food and we were not disappointed. Yes we ordered a lot of food but we were hungary. The staff was very accommodating We had calamari, lamb chops with fries, lamb shank with rice, chicken tikka and lamb kabobs with rice and salad. The garlic naan and spring rolls were my least favorite items but everything was was really good. With all that we had two sprites, one water and two beers for 100 Euro so worth it. There were so many other items I wanted to try, maybe next time.
Li Si: The place is super suitable for sharing mezze, the portions are so big, we ordered quite some stuff. The service is really fast and friendly, the design inside is typical Syrian, I believe. I recommend this place for a treat. Only one minus, the was no soap and toilet paper at the bathrooms.

Sameh H: The personnel were nice. We ordered mixed grill for two persons. The appetizers were tasty and with a good variety. The freshly baked bread was great! With regard to the grill, it was not at the same level. The lamb chops were quite dry, not tender, strangely cut, and overcooked. The lamb skewer was better but not that great, also a bit overcooked and not very tender. The chicken skewer, chicken wings, and the kebab (minced meat) skewers were good.
Rawej Herani: We came here and we got greeted instantly. We sat down and they made place for us mixed tables and everything was ready. Everything was perfect, the rice was good and not oily, the chicken tika was good served with fasulya it was great. They serve naan and something with cucumbers and hummus all for free as a starter. In the end tea was also served for free. The feta salad was delicious the tapula was sour and perfectly mixed. All in all it was good, good middle eastern culture and easy accessible in Amsterdam.

Hassan AA: Delicious food and well prepared. Excellent Iraqi food and friendly service. Hummus and all mezza are delicious. We took Guzi and mixed grill and I felt happy after them. The meat taste was amazing. Moreover, Bamiya (Okra) is something else 😍🤤 its taste is real Iraqi. Also, their tea is especial 👍🏻. Off course I will visit it again.

Sivi CZE: The restaurant is located on the street with a beautiful view of it. Inside the restaurant there is a really nice family environment. I recommend lunch or dinner with children. The service was really pleasant and helpful. She advised me on the choice of beer and food. The speed was really fast. The delivery of drinks was also fast. The food was on the table before long. excellent and tasty burger with fries and homemade sauce.

No Nickname: The spareribs were very dry! Didn’t really seem fresh at all. The fries were really limp kind of like a raw shrimp. On the positive side, they send the food in a nice, branded carrying bag. It was very handy for throwing out the pretty non-edible food.

Tal Paca: I enjoyed the salmon I ordered. It was served together with a small salad and a bowl with fries. I liked the sauce they used for the salmon, but the salad was a bit too sweet. I also tried falafel but to be honest: it was not good. The falafel didn’t have taste and was very fat. It was served with pita bread and some decent dip sauces. I give 4 stars because the staff was very friendly and helpful and I liked the fish. I missed the veggies but the food was fine for this price. Just don’t order falafel! The location and service are good. Don’t expect something very fancy, but good restaurant for a quick family dinner.
