Olena Kulias: I loved to have classes in New Sewing school! Sefe is a professional and a good teacher.I had no knowledge about sewing machines or how to use them. But just in a few classes I learnt and even made a jacket. I really recommend this school for those who wants to learn and improve their skills!

Jiri Vrba: Took my first sewing class ever yesterday and cannot be happier for choosing I am Nold. After first lesson I, as absolute beginner, managed to put together nice tote back and learn a lot. Guidance provided by Natalie was brilliant and she really helped me make a progress. She was very helpful. Definitely made me motivated to take more classes and progress with my sewing. Also got some recommendation on further progress which is always nice. Like the vibe of the place, there is always nice cup of tea / coffee so looking forward to go back. If you ever wanted to learn how to saw, this is the place.
MIN graphic: This is my one of my favourite places in Amsterdam. The great thing is that they offer workshops and courses as well as an open Sewing Cafe where you can pop in whenever is convenient, even for one single class. In the past year I have done a Pattern Drawing course, Fashion Design, and a Quilt course and learned so much. The teachers are very knowledgeable, patient and kind. They always help me to find practical solutions for sewing issues and give a boost of confidence when I get stuck and feel a bit lost.. Also, the atmosphere in the Sewing Cafe is very pleasant. It is nice to see what all the other students are working on and the mix of beginners and more advanced sewers is inspiring. I rate The Steek 5 stars! - Corinne de Korver
Melissa Reed: Fantastic! I just moved to Amsterdam and have always wanted to learn to embroider and these classes were amazing. Perfect balance of general instruction, individual support, and creating a nice social environment that allowed everyone to be quiet or chat while they learned and worked. I cannot wait to take more classes. Beginner sewing classes here I come.
Richelle van den Berg: I loved the swimwear course. Teacher Nathalie knows what she talks about and I could actually wear my swimsuit! I was feeling proud wearing it. The next course will be a lingerie course. Very excited!

Luciana Melo: Yvonne is an attentive and patient teacher. I enjoyed the lessons and I recommend that people who have no experience and want to learn how to make clothes take lessons with Yvonne.
Reina Bartelink: Fun lessons with nice people around you. All the machines and guidance you need to get started right away at your own pace.
Quirina N Van der Heijden: Lessons are taught patiently and attentively at every level. I enjoy my training.
Marloes Oe: The sewing lessons at OoyeVaar are fun and educational. Also for beginners very nice lessons with enough time and attention for explanation. Yvon is very creative and helpful, she thinks along to ensure that you can make your perfect garment. In addition to the regular lessons, you can also learn pattern drawing, etc. Also easily accessible by public transport.
Catharine Jongebloed: Very good guidance and explanation! Accessible and cozy.
