Maria To Go: what do users think?

Jennifer Tabet: Small & hidden Colombian restaurant. Try their delicious arepas (not on the menu): made with corn flour, you can choose vegetarian filled with cheese and topped with avocado and fried bananas (plantains), or with chicken, beef or pork.

Brian Roehl: Calentado was not good. The older lady (owner) was fighting the entire time with another employee and yelling at them and then turned down the music because she was “tired of hearing music about love when she’s angry”. Empanadas weren’t cooked all the way so not even the food was good. The colombian culture is very nice and this place doesn’t represent that. Very bad experience.

Alejandra Parra: Food was delicious!! Truly taste like proper Colombian food. The only thing is that the place is really really small, so is not the best idea for groups, in that case better take the option of pick up the food. For the rest, very nice staff and good price. Definitely a must try if you want something different from Europe.

Stephanie Carvajal: Service is great, Maria and the cook are wonderful and their help at the cashier and serving is too. I was impressed to find such a full offering of Colombian food in Amsterdam. I ordered the 3-piece portion of Empanadas, I like beef best but they also offer chicken and cheese. We then got the Bandeja Paisa, a side order of Fried Yucca and to drink Agua de Panela con limón (Sugar Cane with Lemon) juice, all in my pictures. Closer look at La Bandeja Paisa: white rice, big Colombian Beans, arepa, fried pork rind, plantain, chorizo and cow meat with avocado. If you’ve never had the food or visited the country this is your chance right in Amsterdam , right in the Secret Village! I’m Colombian-American and I tell you they pass the test in quality and taste, enjoy!

E W: Tiny place, but nine persons could fit with no problem to dine inside. We had different Colombian dishes, and all of them were very good in taste. The staff, which is a family, was extremely friendly and we felt all the way very cared about us.

Claudia Portilla: A tasty little corner for those who want to eat delicious Colombian food, very friendly customer service. I will recommend this vintage little Colombia takeaway x claudia Mandalari from Osaka Vegetarian options: Empanadas vegetarianas

Robert Gras: Nice hide away. Great Colombian food. Been here couple of times now. If I would make a comment: food can be warmer, local beer was missing last time...Try it!

Salmuera: what do users think?

Shirley Zheng: Easily one of the best dinners I’ve had in Amsterdam. From delicious mezcal cocktails to perfectly grilled pulpo and slow cooked pork, this dinner really electrified my taste buds to a whole new level. Highly recommend and would definitely come back! We didn’t have enough room for the steak, but definitely will come back to try the rest of the dishes.

Michael Ahn: The dinner experience at Salmuera was amazing! I ordered 300g of rib eye and it was delicious! We ordered a side of rice and potatoes for sides to share and those were also tasty. Everything is definitely on the pricier side so expect to pay for your meal. We also ordered cocktails and they were all amazing and so delicious. Overall this is a spot with great vibes and amazing food. It is three dollar signs so expect to pay more for everything, but if you’re willing to dish out a little more for your meal I’d say it’s well worth it.

Francesca Bertazzo: Phenomenal food! I’ve been here over ten times and can’t stop!! They know exactly what they’re doing and they do it so well. Klaidas has been one of the most welcoming, informative, funny and seriously cool servers I’ve ever had the pleasure of having! Always a 10000/10 (bonus points for playing the black keys)

Lebriz Erdemir: Meat was good. Wine was good but very expensive than usual per glass. Staff was welcoming but the service was super slow. Overall was an OK experience but I wouldn’t say it’s the best place to go one more time necessarily..

Nasreen Akter: Great place with great atmosphere and service. My non alcoholic drink was Creamy and just delicious. The rib eye steak we had was a little well done than requested but was of great quality. A little bit on the expensive side but totally worth it.

Sean Wiebe: We were recommended this place by a local who took us on a food tour earlier in the day. The service, ambiance and food were all phenomenal. Highly recommend checking it out, it’s busy though so either reserve or expect to wait. Very reasonably priced considering the quality and atmosphere.

Sarah Fitzgerald: Myself and my partner have been coming to Salmuera for 2 1/2 years now, it is our FAVORITE restaurant in all of Amsterdam. The bartender Rafael (sorry if I’ve misspelled your name) and the waitress Vanessa make us feel at home and extremely welcome every time we visit. They’re part of the reason we keep coming back ♥️ The food is amazing- the entire menu. The cocktails change seasonally and are unlike any I’ve ever had before- they’re unique and created artfully by the bartenders. They have a HUGE selection of mezcal and always help us with a tasting of mezcals we can’t get anywhere else. If you’re in Amsterdam, make sure to make a reservation- you won’t want to miss out!

Pascal Visscher: Quality food in a nicely decorated restaurant. We took a number of starters and a side to share between us two and got filled up real well with 5. Easy to see why my girlfriend had been wanting to go for months. Can easily recommend a visit

Maria Drossos: Amazing food and cocktails. You won’t find a better steak in Amsterdam. Also a great vibe. 2 thumbs up!

Schedule: Closed ⋅ Opens 4 PM

Business type: Spanish restaurant

Parallel: what do users think?

Deniz Elings: This was a great surprise as the previous concept was very basic but we were tipped by a friend! The food was not only lovely but also innovative, giving the Spanish kitchen a novel bite. Our waiter José was also absolutely amazing, he knows how to make guest feel at home and he advised some super and fitting wines per tapas course. We are surely coming back. But I need to lose the weight from tonight first...

Junseok Chae (Young): I visited here twice. Once in last November and once in this February. My first visit was really pleasant. Unfortunately, my second visit was a bit disappointed. The number of menu was decreased and the taste was a but worse than last year. Because I was really satisfied with their bread and paella, so it’s sad to hear that these menus are not available any more.

martina sangion: Nice tapas place!! Staff really friendly but main dish, tuna, was not really good…As tapas place is nice for the starters, but a bit too expensive for the other dishes: the jug of sangria is 32 euros for example

sh lim: The menu has changed a lot recently. My pictures were taken in November of 2021, so the dishes in my picture might not be available. Paella was really good. Corncob is highly recommended. They were really above my expectation. Berenjena and bread were good as well, but they were not my best. The atmosphere was really great so I really enjoyed dinner time there.

Amanda Z.: Atmosphere is really great and intimate and the waiters are friendly. The croquette was my favorite. I wish they still had their paella on the menu because that’s what I initially came for. But trying the rest of the menu was still worth it!

Dean Kan: Special applause to broad selections of wine menu. Food is delicious, giving not only Spanish but a Latin American vibe.

Xiaoling Tang: #A mouthful taste of long lost childhood# Hi Parallel, Thanks so much for the incredible treat on 12/23. We wished to have four stomachs so we could order everything on the menu. Best tapas since my last trip in Barcelona. We were very impressed especially by the octopus tentacle and the Gambas. The Antarctic krill you used just brought me back to elementary school - the time when mom was able to hunt those precious shrimps from her seafood vendor, a rare yet unforgettable treat. Valentin and Jose served us - very welcoming and knowledgeable about what goes onto the table. Muy bien!

Chris Hamrick: Went here on a recommendation and we all really enjoyed it. Most of the dishes were really tasty, especially the gambas, cod, octopus, and the corn/mango dessert (sounds weird, but trust me)🌽 If you like white wine, I recommend the Menade Verdeja, which is one of the cheaper wines, but doesn’t taste it 👌🏽 The vibe is a vibe and the restaurant has a nice evening energy. Gave 4/5 stars as the waitstaff seemed a bit rushed, maybe a bit understaffed for a Friday evening. Otherwise, can recommend 👍🏽

Olena: I have to change my review from 5 to 3. We were visiting this place 29.12. In shrimp we found out a hair from head. Waiter (not even manager) apologised, changed meal, but they still included it in the bill. btw, this meal was good. A beef, which we enjoyed so much in our 1st visit this time had a low quality with non-chewing fat, what made us feel sick. service was slow, but still good

Aar Bee: Excellent food; dishes are larger than your regular tapas. Good wine list too.

Restaurant Quartier Latin: what do users think?

Zoe Monohan: Came for a late night, fancy dinner and ended up pretty disappointed. Both servers struggled to speak English and it took quite some time to correctly communicate our order. As an entree we tried the Escargot and a simple salad which were fairly average. The mains had been incorrectly ordered, and instead of salmon we received lamb which neither of us could actually eat - and the waiters did nothing to correct the mistake or offer something we could eat. Instead we stuck with the four prawns (for €30!!) and the microwaved sides. The total came to €88, with a meal we didn’t order, and we were honestly, beyond shocked. Don’t waste your time coming here.

Nadiya Sayenko: Cute place with a good vibe. Fantastic service and food. I had coquiles with seawheed and saffron sauce and they were delightful and very surprising. Creme brule was amazing. So were the steaks.

LB: Small space with bad seating, so uncomfortable. The food was nice but not worth the price. The service was great from the older man who manages quite a bit, but experience still bad.

Gianna Spyroulia: Extremely overpriced and low quality food. My steak was frozen and the Roquefort sauce was the quantity of a small spoon. Also they literally served a handful of premade fries for 4 ppl.. Not real French cuisine :( (Even the bread is not French.. they serve some kind of cheap Turkish pide bread..)

Marco Arts: Good service, great food. Not “special”, but excellent classics. The homemade creme brulee was fantastic, with an orangey twist. We also had a very nice bottle of bordeaux to accompany our meats.

Yvonne Cumiskey: Absolutely fantastic Food, Service and atmosphere. The food was 10/10, Service was 10/10 and atmosphere 10/10. Honestly I would travel back from Ireland just to eat here. The Staff were so kind. Honestly please come here if you are in Amsterdam you won’t be disappointed.

Karan Jain: One of the rare places, quality food, quality service, classic charm of meals - made with love. You feel looked after and you feel great after the food.

Alyssa Saran: Delicious ! Would definitely go back. Staff was very friendly . Had the lamb it was perfect. Close to bars / coffee shops.

N: Amazing food. Very friendly service... Beautiful decor.

Kiril Knysh: Amazing service from an extremely friendly waiter. Nice food

NAZKA: what do users think?

Chris Hamrick: My group of four decided to try NAZKA to check out some Peruvian cuisine. We booked a table a couple of weeks out (it seems necessary on weekends), and we have 0 regrets. You choose between a 4-course (our pick) or a 6-course meal, and there are add-on options, such as oysters, artichokes, and steaks. 🍴 As you can see by the photos, each dish was beautifully presented, but more importantly, they were all delicious. We all agreed at the end of the meal that our favorite dish was the Yellowtail 🐟. Unreal. Maybe the best dish I’ve had since living in Amsterdam? 10/10. Additional highlights were the tomahawk steak with the mole sauce and the eggplant dish. But all the food was genuinely really lovely 👍🏽 🥂 The cocktails were also really refreshing. When none of the cocktails on the menu spoke to me, the friendly bartender offered to make me a drink based on my taste, and she made such a delicious drink. 🤵🏻‍♀️ Our waitress, Sandra, was very friendly and helpful! Thank you for a lovely dining experience. A waiter also explains what is in each dish when they deliver them to the table. 🙏🏽 We’ll be back, and I recommend you check it out as well! 10/10

Alex Filicevas: This was a really memorable experience worth 5+ stars. The food was outstanding, with interesting flavors it’s, layers and textures that uplifted every dish. The pisco sour was great and not to mention the nice the vibe and setting of the restaurant as well as the amazing staff that look after humor. Definitely look forward to coming back!

Laura Millroy: Everything about this restaurant is excellent! The food was amazing, strong flavors that were perfectly balanced. Comfortable decor and very friendly and attentive service. I would highly recommend this place! We started with the razor clams and the whisky sour aperitif followed by the four course menu. It was a perfect amount to eat.

Martina Bessi: Food and presentation are good and original. Wine is a bit expensive even though the sommelier is nice. Staff could be more engaging to reflect the warmth of Peruvian people! The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant, the music is not too loud so you can talk to people without shouting.

Lize Hartley: Delicious food, fantastic service! We were served by Cesar who was just amazingly passionate, thorough, thoughtful, personable, but professional. The interior is gorgeous, great wine list. Highly recommend!

Christian Böcking: Amazing and outstanding dining experience - actually the best I had in Amsterdam so far! Great atmosphere, super delicious dishes and service. 10/10! We went for the 4 course menu and added a tomahawk steak and had no regrets. It is hard to say which dish was the best - but for me the yellowfin fish and the tomahawk with mole were in the lead!

Daniel Cruz: From the 6 Course Menu - 2 were exceptional - 2 good - 2 weak… if the chef’s team manage to upgrade 2 plates and make robust food and wine paring suggestions, they could aspire to a bib Gourmand… but they really need to finess 2-3 areas. Amazing and friendly staff!

Thomas C.: Nice Peruvian restaurant: the interior must be designed with some inspirations from Asian, I enjoy most of the dishes and will consider to visit again if I want to try some Peruvian fusion food with good atmosphere. It could be a bit noisy during weekend evening and it would be nicer if the dishes are served in a evenly pace.
