Nettie Atkisson: Chocolate education. Ethically made/ direct trade bean to bar chocolate sold. Classes. Tastings.

Cat Bra: Cold chocolate drink with pure chocolate! It was super nice. To be compared to a frappacino. Though I think this was better. Very chocolatey taste and not too sweet. They have different flavours. Super friendly staff that can speak English and Dutch.
Michele Chung: Just need a quick fix of coffee and didn’t wanna walk out into the rain outside of the station. Was a bit worried about the quality of food and coffee as I tend to think any shop in a train station is not necessarily good. How wrong was I and how glad I am that it rained! Excellent coffee and chocolate croissant. The croissant is soft, buttery and crispy on the outside with the right amount of chocolate. Oh, did I mention the sumptuous chocolate that comes with the coffee? Head over here and get your hop on / hop off deal or just a snack.
Jordan S.: Good coffee ☕ I enjoyed!I think even George Clooney would love it
RAVE: Try it! Such nice service and a quality coffee & chocolate. Excellent Choice to start your day or gat your caffeine and sugar UP 😍
Alexandar Nikolov: This is a feel good store.50 flavors of hot chocolate to drink there or for take away. You can buy chocolate spoons for home as well. I enjoyed a mid size cup of white hit chocolate , because you rarely find white one in regular coffee shops.
Shane Foley: I wasn’t sure how the selection process worked with all of the flavors of hot chocolate but the staff was very friendly and explained it. The place isn’t big but was very nice. It didn’t take long to get the hot chocolate and I’ve never had it served so nicely before.
ELDORADA: Ordered an iced cappuccino, got a poorly made frappucino with crushed ice. In a paper cup. What a disrespect towards coffee. Never again. For 5.40 EUR.🌝
Çağatay Ege Şahin: Lovely chocolate, friendly staff!

Nettie Atkisson: One owner worked in Agroforestry. The other in Sustainable building. Now they source cacao directly from farmers and have collaborations with cacao farmers and coffee farmers where the money stays with the farmers. Widows of wars on Columbia now run cacao and coffee farms. They have a sail boat that brings cacao beans from the Dominican Republic. Great chocolate, responsibly, ethically and sustainably sourced. Lovely tour guide. Truly inspiring place..
Katja Ferstl: Best chocolate ever! Great concept and the taste of the different chocolate bars is really incomparable, with the pure and simple ingredients it just tastes wonderful. And even the service is great. Thank you. We can only recommend to buy this chocolate.
Response: Dear Katja, thank you for your kind words. Good to hear you like the chocolate!
Christian Fehre: Cycling from Germany (Schokofahrt) just to get their awesome chocolate. Very nice team as well.
Response: So impressed by you guys! Proud to welcome you and all the other dedicated cyclists!
The Pastry Templar: I love this company as they make a real chocolate without additives. They deliver with electric bike and their factory works mainly thanks to wind power. I worked with their chocolate for about 2 years and I would do it again if I could. Great chocolate, great people.
Arcelia Gallardo: Well this is not open to the public but an amazing chocolate maker.
Micky Heiligenberg: Awsome
Janet Van der Niet: Have now ordered war for the 2nd time here and they make very tasty chocolate. They are also very nice people. Keep it up to the next 10 yrs.
Response: Janet! Great to hear, we hope you continue to enjoy it!
Marc van Liempt: What a beautiful story of this chocolate maker. Decided to buy this chocolate from now on to contribute to a fair world.
je weet wie: We had a very educational and inspiring tour last weekend. Chocolate makers prove on a small scale that the entire chain from raw material to end product can be run sustainably and with high quality for taste at the same time. Top story!

J. W. H.: Chocolate lovers rejoice! Urban Cacao offers artisanal chocolate bars made of exotic single origin cacao from destinations such as Belize, Madagascar, Namibia, Kenya, Venezuela, etc. Aficionados will appreciate the wide selection of bars containing a high percentage of cacao. For those with a sweeter tooth, there are bars with nuts, caramel, dried fruits etc. A 100g bar is about 5 Euros. For 7 Euros one can buy 3 small bars ideal for sampling.
BradJill: A chocolatier that I really like in Amsterdam is Urban Cacao on Hidenstraat. This is a good place for creative handmade chocolate bars. Opening hours are 10-6pm daily. During our recent visit we purchased 8 different chocolate bars, taking them back to Hong Kong. Each tasted nice while several were really good. Most enjoyed were the 1) milk with caramel and sea salt, 2) milk with stroopwafel, 3) white with gingerbread orange and the 4) dark with salted almond and rosemary. Look forward to visiting Urban Cacao the next time we are in Amsterdam to pick up more of their creative chocolate bars.
Leah: Cute little shop with a cafe and a large assortment of chocolate bars and treats for sale. Loved all the beautiful wrappers - makes their chocolate bars the perfect gift!!
Nolan Rumble: Great spot for interesting varieties of chocolate! I particularly like that they give you some small pieces to try so that you don’t accidentally buy something you might not like!
Michael Schaten: Fantastic chocolate variants, great Ambiente and friendly service. You can try every chocolate before buying it - disappointment or bad surprises hardly possible! Only four stars because of the very high prices though...
Nazan Z: A terrible service, very rude, shop is full of boxes and the taste of hot chocolate is no different than chocomel
Sarah Jane Savage: I wandered by while exploring Amsterdam early one morning and made a note of their cool interior and displays. I came back later when they were open and I was glad I did their chocolate comes in interesting and creative flavors, but even their straight chocolate is fantastic. Great flavor, and wonderful smooth mouthfeel, even with high-cocoa mass varieties. I got an 80% bar that was smoother than any similar bar I’ve tried. Definitely going back.
Ksenia Bredikhina: Very disappointed! The exterior of the shop looks really appealing and the inside interior with chocolate bars displayed on the wall shelves. The packaging is really nice as well. So it makes you wanna buy every piece at once. I bought two dark chocolate bars: stroopwafel & speculaas and hazelnut pistachio flavors. None of bars tasted like that. In reality they didn’t have any taste or flavor at all. They just tasted like a regular dark chocolate you buy in a supermarket. One of the worst €10 spent in my life...

Nikol Popova Dokov: This was probably some of the best chocolate I’ve had in a while, especially in the Netherlands. Their praline selection is amazing. Bonbons are rich and flavourful, even the simple hazelnut praline blew my mind. The staff was also very helpful and pleasant.
Response: Hi Nikol, Thank you for your kind review and we are pleased to hear you loved our chocolate selection as well as your experience with our staff. We hope to welcome you again in our store very soon. Team Vanroselen
james igoe: A small shop on a street for antiques and art, the shelves lined with numerous products, I immediately asked the proprietor what the best items he had were. He replied his own chocolates, not made in the store, but made for him. I bought two of each small chocolate my wife would like, for a total of 12 chocolates, to share. Absolutely wonderful!
