Alex Nieuwenburg (Aky): Really nice shop with absolutely great service. We bought new ring and it lost a diamond (it’s a 100 years old so that could happen) , immediately he told us to come over and fix it. The costs were € 450,- which he took for his account…! The service was to good and rings to perfect so i wanted to pitch in. AFTER he offered us to choose another one of a higher price .. Will 100 % go back.

Nina Hermens: If you are visiting Amsterdam and have a thing for unique jewellery, please visit The Antique Ring Shop. It is well worth the visit! The many pieces are absolutely gorgeous, I bet you'll always find something you love. But most of all Joe and Maaike are very kind and welcoming. I've had the best experience and left not only with the biggest smile on my face but also with amazing earrings for a special occasion. The shop might be a 3 hour drive (one way) for me but I'm sure I'll be visiting for more special occasions in the future. Thank you!

Rob Moore: Wonderful shop, very friendly owner and staff. My wife had noticed a pretty 22kt ring on web site and emailed over several months ahead of our arrival in Amsterdam. We arranged to see it and several others; the staff was exceptionally helpful and patient. The shop is tiny -but everything is viewable online. My wife is also in wheelchair-but they were very helpful while we negotiated the step. She found her ring, they had it sized in a day or two and she LOVES the ring! They even recommended another shop to sell some older gold pieces she did not wear anymore. This referral saved us hundreds of euro over the price they offered. This was the reason for referral-they knew the other store would pay more to scrap the gold.
Adri Pendleton: Such a great little store! My boyfriend and I have been looking at rings and really want to get something second-hand or vintage/antique. We spent an hour and a half traveling to get here, and it was so worth it! The shop owner is super kind and friendly, there's a much bigger selection than anything we've found in other stores, and the prices are very reasonable. Hopefully my boyfriend will be in touch with him again soon 😉

Jason Lurie: Stay away! They will lie to you in order to make a sale at any cost. I thought I was getting a great ring and was told to ignore the VAT amount because it will be refunded. That's all great if it was true. The company they hire to process the VAT refunds for them doesn't respond to messages and when they finally processed my refund after 2 months of pestering them they took 35% of it as an "administrative cost" without any warning or authorization. The owner lies and says I agreed to this and refuses to even apologize. She only offered to send me the difference so I wouldn't leave a bad review and let others know about their shady business practices. Thanks for ruining a great experience, Leonor Binenbaum!

Maarten de Jong: What a hateful response from Arie S... wonder to what extent this isn't a jealous competitor who wants to vent his frustration through a review. My experience is far from bad. Bruens acts in a businesslike yet honest manner. If you do not agree with the price, you are kindly advised to compare with the competitor. To make a long story short, Juwelier Bruens just ended up again. It's crazy what Arie S says; that Bruens is known for his cheating etc. It was very busy when I was there and I even had to wait outside because of the maximum number of people in the business. Particularly striking were the returning customers, but well...maybe we should ask Arie S what things he would like to recommend to us ;) Gr. Maarten

S Johnson: Unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience here today. The staff barely acknowledged my presence when I walked in the door, and when I was explaining what I was looking for. I was spoken to in a rude manner as well. As a result of being made to feel extremely unwelcome, I left almost as soon as I entered and gladly took my business elsewhere.

Michel 1969: Seen a Cartier Santos 100 on their website. This turned out to be without the official papers, but when asked, these were included. Product on website was also adjusted. I go to Gassan by appointment. After I checked it, the serial number of the certificate did not match at all. Selling was embarrassed (just put up a story about how careful they are). I was not happy about this of course, but mistakes happen and indicated that I was still interested in the watch (with a price adjustment due to the lack of papers). The seller would investigate and let me know asap. Haven't heard anything more. The watch is now for sale (without the papers) and the same price. Although I have been a customer of Gassan for a long time, I find this experience very disappointing. UPDATE 29-05-2022: after contacting Gassan several times about my overall feeling regarding this purchase, they have taken the watch back. I think this is neatly solved!
Oorrii Ozil: They say that everyone should have a fair chance, so they don't have a waiting list, but at the same time they sell pre-owned watches with a big profit. It's a bit crooked. Bad staff who would like to guide you outside right away
