Restaurant Jaspers: what do users think?

Rawad Dalal: A very cosy experience inside this amazing restaurant. Food is great, the tastes are rich with new flavors and decorated in a creative appetizing way. The staff are extremely nice, helpful and always welcoming by explaining all dishes.

Richard Zhao: Made a last minute reservation for dinner and boy what a treat! We had the 3-course dinner but somehow was 4 courses? Anyways not complaining. I don’t remember the names of the courses and they were all very delicious, so much so that I only remembered to snap one photo. There was lots of use of foam, and I’ll be honest, that’s a bit lost on me. My main course was a grilled fish and it was probably the best fish I’ve had. Service was extremely good and on point. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place to anyone.

Daniel Christensen: Very good and cozy place. It had great atmosphere and wonderful staff and foodFood: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Robert Ferstl: What a gem: family like, cozy, friendly, attentive, and most important: culinary delighted!! All dishes came with a remarkable sparkle in taste, something unexpected what triggers your attention. I rarely have eaten such a marvellous Bouillabaisse. Although it was only a intermediate course in a wonderful delicious menue which surprised and inspired in many details, it perfectly contributed to the overall experience in this exciting restaurant! Super attentive staff who cares about the tiniest detail!

Bruno Dheedene: We had an amazing diner at home. Thank you Jasper, we enjoyed your creativity! We’re looking forward to the reopening but meanwhile we will be back!

Philip Ashworth: I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. We had a terrific dinner here with a truly memorable menu. It’s a set menu with options to add courses as you wish. I love places like this - it takes the pressure of deciding and the chef can present great seasonal produce. This he did. Each course told a story and there were flavours thread through the entire menu creating a whole arc of enjoyment. Of particular joy were the oysters, lightly poached with a foam infused with Asian flavours. The veal tartare was divine. We also enjoyed an unusual sparkling wine from India that was pretty much a game changer. This place is a must visit restaurant and worth the trip to Amsterdam alone.

Bleu: what do users think?

Madi Ainsworth: Nice enough bistro in a lovely location in Amsterdam. The interior of the restaurant is very tasteful and intimate. The food is also nice and as described. Would have expected slightly higher quality of the meat from the tartare, but was still tasty. Wine selection is good!

Paolo Chiarlone: We stopped at Bleu for a quick coffee and glass of beer. However, the place, the atmosphere, the waiter and Jason, the manager made us feel so welcome and they were so nice and friendly that we stayed for dinner. Dinner was super, great quality, perfect presentation. Service was impeccable. This has been by far one of the best restaurant experiences we had in years. THANK YOU with all my heart! -Paolo

Allan Haze: Great spot for a drink and a snack near fashionable Kaisergracht. Friendly, perky staff, nice decor and good quality food and wine. Nice play list as well.

Gabriel: Super cozy interior! The staff was very nice and always checked if everything is alright. The food tasted really good, but for some reason with every main food item you also automatically order fries. This makes sense for the steaks, but for the other items on the menu not really fitting. Weird that this is standard. Otherwise very satisfied!

Lori Ortiz: Lovely space and we hoped for a great meal but very disappointed with food. Husband ordered a steak medium rare. It came out cold and basically raw . We tend not to send food back but this was inedible. So steak was sent back. It came back 5 minutes later. It was still not even rare, but lukewarm and bloody. However, at this point waitress had disappeared and we couldn’t get her attention for 20 minutes. The gentleman sitting next to us also had to send his steak back 3x. I have no idea why the chef was unable to come close to properly cooking a steak—when it’s a feature on the menu. I had the mussels and they were ok—but oddly didn’t have much flavor in the broth. It was a very bland pot of mussels, although a very large number. We hoped to have a great meal and this was a definite miss

Peggy Hollinger: I do not recommend this restaurant. We were a party of three tonight. The waiters forgot to bring the chips and salad that came with our meals. We gave them the benefit of the doubt but by the time we had eaten half of the meat we waved them down to ask where our side dishes were. They eventually brought two orders of fries and two salads but we were three people who had ordered three different meals that were all listed as having their own accompaniments. When i queried why there were only two side orders when there were three people the waiter said they only gave two to parties of three because people didnt finish everything. I was shocked. I had paid for a burger and chips and the restaurant unilaterally decided to not give me what i had paid for. There was no price reduction. I have never - ever - come across such an excuse. This is false advertising. They cannot say what you are paying for and then decide you should not have what is listed. The waiter was arrogant. We will not ever go back to the Bleu restaurants wherever they are.

Ciel Bleu: what do users think?

LMC Alex: Located on the 23rd floor of the Okura Hotel (where we were staying) Ciel Bleu is a rather classic but nonetheless amazing fine dining restaurant with a beautiful view on Amsterdam. I found the ambience definitely less formal then expected (positive not for me) mostly because of the great job of the waiters. We opted for the season menu with the modern wine pairing and were definitely satisfied with the quality and quantity of what we had. Everything is balanced, perfectly executed and made with the finest ingredients. As a little extra you can end the night in the lounge, absolutely recommended.

Jtef G: All in all it was a great evening. Got to see the sunset during the meal and nice concept with all the different spices around the world. There were several dishes though that were overly salted and I thought three courses of dessert was a bit heavy. I would’ve been happy with only the first one, with the nice clean citrusy note to end the evening. Just my two cents.

Olivia Ma: The service was second to none. Not to mention the restaurant has a great view of the city. Some staff might have language barrier (we spoke English) but it’s not a big concern.

Mike: Overall very good service and the food was spectacular, but the manager there was exceptionally unprofessional. We accumulated a decent bill over the course of the night and the manager came over to swipe my card. He made a joke stating “I’m surprised your card went through, I guess you won’t have to be washing dishes in the back.” I laughed it off but it was uniquely awkward. He should be talked to about his pompous behavior in the future. Besides that, yes the food is top notch and the rest of the team did well in serving my friend and I.

Photis Wizard: An amazing michelin star experience with amazing food, fantastic service and awesome view !!!

Austin Draughn: Ciel Bleu has definitely earned their two michelin stars! The food and service were both incredible and at the end of the meal the waiter even asked if i would like to see the kitchen. While in the kitchen the chef even came over and talked to me for a minute! Definitely an experience to rememberFood: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Miles Fore: We had such a fantastic experience here. The food was amazing and the staff was wonderful. Fine dining really is about the experience as much as the food and this place delivered on both. There are also beautiful views of the city as you eat. I would say this restaurant is worth making a trip for even.

Christopher Haugen: The visit to Ciel Bleu started very well. We were quickly taken up to the restaurant where we got to sit in the lounge and enjoy excellent food and view for a few minutes. After being taken to our table started we on a very exciting food journey that took us all over the world. The dishes was creative and very tasteful. The only negative part of the visit was that the service was lacking in the second half of our meal. It felt like that they were a server too few.

Restaurant Jansz: what do users think?

Myles Lam: Quiet, elegant courtyard. Great selection of wines! Sea bream was moist and well plated with risotto and greens. Take it easy and spend a good 90-120minutes here. It’s empty around 3pm which is the perfect time to have a late lunch.

Prilli Soetantyo: Great ambience used to be an Aphotek ( Drug store) turn into a great restaurant. The restaurant was attach to a hotel. The food was great. Unfortunately our dinner slot was very late around 21:30 and they close at 23:00 so we could not have a complete menu to try and their rush our dinner as well from appetizer to main course, it was not nice but the waitress was friendly, the somalier gave a good recomendation of wine. I would say they shoul not have time slot of 21:30 for the table perhaps 21:00 is the latest if you wanna go there in order to enjoy great food there.

Luca Bultereys: This could be one of the best restaurants I’ve visited. You feel like a really important client. The waiters were very helpful and the sommelier knew everything about the wine pairing. Great night !

Loreen Masannat: Thank you for the great service. Staff well trained, our waiter was Filip and he did so great, every dish has a story, the guys explain the dishes well. The ambience was great and cozy.Bravo!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Ioannis Charalambous: We chose jansz for the food. I would say It didn’t really live up to our expectations. The Service could have been more attentive. It felt like that round of bookings (9pm onwards), the staff were more concerned about setting up the tables for breakfast. Quality food but nothing to write home about. There’s plenty of other choices in Amsterdam that I would choose over dinner at Jansz.

Hannah: We have had a lovely dinner here for my birthday. They even wrote a card for the table. The food was delicious although I unfortunately can’t recommend the cheese platter. The rest of the food was delicious and we can recommend the ‘dorade’. Our waiter war very attentive and I look forward to coming again.

François B. Photos: Restaurant Jansz is quite a good restaurant. The atmosphere is great and the food is good (except the dessert that was average). The staff is professional, but not really efficient. Prices are too high for such small portions, quality and service. American Express credit cards are accepted. Nice restaurant to try, but not in my favorite ones list

Stjepan Kujadin: One of the best restaurants in Amsterdam. Laidback service and great quality for the value of money. Loved the ambiance and the wine list. Can’t wait to be back. Highly recommend!

Yaqi Xie: Environment and service are great, cocktails also good. Oysters are really fresh and sweet. Main dishes are kind of normal for a place and price like this.

Restaurant Max: what do users think?

Job van Leusden: Great authentic Indonesian Rice Table experience. The restaurant was packed but owner and assistant were super. The service was excellent. I recommend ordering the Rice Table for your visit. It has many dishes and even though you think you’re fully satisfied: take desert anyways. The owner recommended an excellent bottle of wine to accommodate this meal. You should go! Call for reservations- it’s popular-

Stefan Lang: Sparingly and tastefully decorated restaurant in a nice area. Excellent rijsttafel - and that goes for starter and dessert, too. One of the best meals I‘ve had in a long time! Pleasant and friendly staff, always keeping an eye on customer satisfaction and asking if everything is alright. My impression is that it’s often fully booked, so reserve a table if you intend to visit. And you should.

Saraa: Lovely place for the tasting Indonesian rice menu. I was told that I have to try rijsttafel while in Amsterdam and found this place nearby. The food was nice with appropriate portions. They still served me although I did not have a booking. The staff and service were also nice. A bit pricy though.

Natalie Irwin: Reservations recommended - we had a choice of two times when booking three days in advance. Great spot to try rijsttafel, which is the Indian rice table. While I do enjoy spice I wouldn’t consider myself someone that can handle a lot of spice and I found the “high spice” dishes only mildly spicy. I selected the Gewurztraminer and Tempranillo wines over the courses which paired well. As per Rick Steve’s … today’s Indonesia was a Dutch culinary for over 300 years until World War II trade was all about spices and that was a big deal when it came to the east Indies. This is the essential Indonesian dining experience a spread of 14 are so different dishes and sauces it is actually a Dutch creation to showcase an extravagant array of food with spices from their culinary. It begins with amount of rice and then take a bit of chicken beef or lamb with the accompanying sauce start with a mild and work your way up to spicy. Try to keep your rice clean, to cleanse your palate.

Jeffrey Rassas: Great experience, very friendly. Atmosphere good and everything we ordered was spectacular. Make reservations in advance, tough if walk in. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options....

John Michael Marino: Prima!! Absolutely delicious in every way. Spicy stylish cuisine. Excellent service. A joy to the senses. Good luck getting a reservation.

Anders Hsi: After living in Asia for over a decade, I was pleasantly surprised by the authentic flavors and high quality ingredients used here. The servers were friendly, kind, and professional. The environment is designed beautifully and cleanly.

Lou De New: Stunning food and service. We had the shared tasting menu. Our party of 5 were exceptionally well looked after. If there were any dishes on the tasting platter we really liked (which was most of them!) then we could get a refill. Best Indonesian food we have ever tried.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
